Listen Lisse - Judas video

They say that you make good music when you really don't care about anything anymore...this probably doesn't apply to this video though it's more about having a reason to get out of a rutt and get on with something else..

Grizzly and the Duck of Death

To help themselves from suicide because Berlin was so cold during the winter they formed a band called G.A.T.D.O.D, they've done a few gigs with bands from all over the place including, Listen Lisse and Gifthorse.... Phillipe the singer threatens to leave the band all the time but we know he won't..

Here's a video to remember Razzmatazz:

there's this Razzmatazz by Pulp as well you can compare the two if you like!

Shannon Wright

She's done some great albums so far and not a single pop song yet, I was addicted after I heard the song Less than a Moment. She's not too famous yet and I think she likes it that way, but there is something nice about listening to someone that is not being listened to by the masses....

Steve Albini

The man who keeps good music on the shelves....

Stevie himself!

Paul the Girl

I first read about her in Stool Pigeon then she turned up again in my bulletins on myspace where I found this video which I like a lot... for many reasons, she's unconventional, inventive and just good!

Bat for Lashes

Just as the element of enchantment seemed to have left the mainstream Bat for Lashes grace us with their presence and give us hope that music does not all have to be about 4-piece boy bands! Hurray! Although I do like 4-piece boy bands as well:)

The video speaks for itself...

Listen Lisse - It's Not You

Listen Lisse album
It's Not You

It's an album that needs to be heard so get your hands on it! She recorded it in her own studio and then gave it over to Gary to mix and the end result was something quite appealing to the ears and to the soul.

Daniel Johnston

If you haven't seen the film yet get to it. I loved it and I even have one of his CD's now..

It's pretty sad the amount of anti-depressants he had to take. My opinion is that heavy medication like that should only be used as a last resort...

Low - Trust

This album starts with the song "Thats how you sing amazing grace". This song captures you and takes you to a special place then leads you into the next song "Canada". The album takes you to a place that is kind of dark in a very lovely way.
